Embrace failure

Embrace failure. Life doesn't come with an instruction manual. Who have not failed before? I do. Everybody does.

Think about what I have encountered back in the days when I was in Kuala Lumpur pursuing my studies in Quantity Surveying, it is not what I have planned to do, but I just go with the flow saying that ‘I can do it’. Definitely, I still can manage the first and second year, but when it comes to the third year, I am doomed. Frankly speaking, I never learn Additional Mathematics in my secondary, but I learnt when I was taking my Diploma. Good news, I passed my finals even though it’s difficult for me to learn Add Math in Diploma level.

Somehow, things started to change. I started to fail a lot of my subjects, including the one that I was the Top 3 in the class in the Building Services subject. Oh Lord, that is unbelievable unacceptable. And I do remember, I was teaching my classmate on the same subject and for all the subjects that I am good in but guess what, I failed and they passed. When I received a phone call from them asking me “What do you get for your finals?” and I answered sadly, “I have failed Building Services”. And, this is what I get in return, “You didn’t study enough”. Well, this I will not forget.

How’s life in Kuala Lumpur? You got to be tough, strong, independent, and all those positive and encouraging words you can think of right now. Back in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is like a new life for me but I handle it positively. My parents gave me a choice of 3, either I should continue my studies to be a Singer, Musician, or study Tourism. Well, you guessed it right. I chose tourism and the reason is I love Sabah and I want the best for Sabah. If I have chosen Singing or Musical, I will not be staying in Sabah and for me, singing and playing musical instruments can be learnt slowly, which I did.

Now, look what failure did to me. It doesn’t mean that I am successful now. I will still continue to learn new things, listen to the people around me and continue take new experiences in life! I like true stories and real experiences. So, don’t stop when you fail. Stand up tall, look forward, and explore yourself again. Take up the challenge!

Almost to June update

Despite on my busy schedule, I will still think about all my readers here in angels-be-with-you. Can’t believe it’s almost half a year GONE! Time running fast so I hope all of you have played wisely.

Oh well, I know I have been missing lots of updates and write ups, I am suppose to blog about lots of food reviews as I have been invited to A LOT this year. Also, I have been travelling around Sabah just to explore a little bit more. I found this is a BIG change in Kota Kinabalu where there are many events going on throughout the year. Imagine, food reviews? It can happen two to three reviews in a week! But hey, do keep it going because I love sharing my taste with every one of you. And you know my style – I travel, explore, and share my experiences here and there. Anyways, I guess I have to dig out my suppose-to-blog reviews. Please accept my sincere apologies to everyone including business owners and my readers from all over the world.

I have been travelling back and forth to Kundasang and Ranau, to Tenom, Indonesia, and just came back from Mantanani Island (beautiful island, hmmph). Can’t believe that I saw dolphins with my own eyes! Meeting quite a number of new friends, we share the same interests which is travelling and explore places to places and EAT! So, do stay tune!

This picture was taken when I was on the boat departing from Mantanani Island to the Kuala Abai Jetty. Nothing to do but taking pictures was a fun thing to do.

Love your parents, as they loves you.

I came across with this picture and it inspires me to write, suddenly.

Many of us (or maybe just me) wonder what the feeling is, when you reached this world.
Now, we only know “How” to live in this world. I’m always curious.

None of us can remember the every first moment when we came to this world because we are just tiny ones, closes our eyes until we first cried, that moment that every mother first delivers their babies. We just can’t recall back that important moment when we were born.

We never know how it is like when we were born.
We never know how we feel when we first pushed out from mother’s womb.
We never know... a lot of things when we first born, but only when our parents told us how.
But, the truth is, we want to know... “How?”

Maybe one day we will know how it is like and that time might be the time when we are the ones that make “Life”. When only a new baby is born and from there we know “how” it is like and what is the “feeling”. That is why, “Life” started from that single moment.

Parents are the ones who bring us to life. They have made us biologically.
Mothers are the ones that carries us about 9 months and every father are the ones that taking care of the mother and the baby in the womb. We do know it is hard to carry a baby in a tummy, everybody knows that but we do not really know the exact feeling when we are carried by our mother... until you tried it yourself.

I hope everyone do appreciate their lives, but not only realise it when it is too late. And I do believe that the single moment of a “Life” was born; it is a happiness and wonderful experience that you would cherish. And I believe every mother and father experienced it throughout the whole journey of bringing a “Life”. And it goes on and on... generation to generation.

Cherish every moment that you have with your parents. From there, you will understand the life that they want us to live in.

Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy and Happy Father’s Day, Daddy.

With all my love.

My New Facebook Page

I know it’s kinda stupid to open anotherFacebook Page because I have over 1000 likes in my current one. To tell the truth, I do worried and felt it is such a waste because I need to start all over again from zero.

But...
I do believe that people are supporting me as they know what I am currently doing.
I do believe that friends are supporting me in everything that I done and still continue.
I do believe that friends from overseas know what my plan is and what I hope for the future.
I do believe in many things more.

That is why I do believe the current ‘likes’ who are my family, friends, and also people who are supporting me from overseas to continue supporting me in my new Facebook Page.

The reason why I wanted to switch to a new account is because of the name changing purposes. Facebook doesn’t allow admin to change their names when they have reached a certain number of ‘likes’.

In this case, let me briefly tell you what I am up to.
I always love to challenge myself and also to experience new things in life. That is why I put myself into a beauty pageant called Miss Borneo Tourism Queen International, while I am still having my final examination to complete my Diploma in Tourism Management. Other than the final examination for my Diploma in INTI College Sabah, I am also holding a position in the student government as the Vice President of INTIMA, Administration and Services, who speaks for the students and also for the college.

After the pageant, I have won several titles which I never expected at all because it was a total experience only that I would like to gain. With these three titles, I believe I can do more to help the people. Yes, I always believe. Miss Nature’s Guardian, Miss Charity, and Miss Popular are the titles that I have given by several companies that are the sponsors. And I start from there...

I joined as a volunteer at the very first to help the people. I agreed to be a model at the very first in the modelling industry. But it’s not enough to make me grow. I see people who joined pageants differently which I don’t want to apply in me. Well, if anyone of you has read about an interview about me by Utusan Borneo, you will know what my opinion thru my whole journey. Only the person, who knows the full story, was the interviewer, Mr. Jamry. And I was shocked when he said, “I see you in me”. Yes, he understands my thoughts and my opinions.

I wish to be a traveller always, and forever. I have always loved to travel and explore the different culture that we have in different continents. I wish to help the people that need helps and I always carries my own principle, which is to help our local community before we go further.

My dream is big, but I do believe with support, I will grow and we can improve.

The Official Opening of Rumah Terbalik

Just came back from Rumah Terbalik (The Upside Down House in Borneo) for their launching. Well, if you want to know what and where is Rumah Terbalik, you gonna check on my Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/ChloeTiffanyLee .

Let’s talk about the launching just now.
Well, we were late due to the traffic jam and it was raining heavily. Plus, my eye sight is bad during the night. So it’s a triple problem to me and I have two friends following my car. I need to be careful while driving.

Lucky enough, we managed to reach there in time to catch the session whereby Token of Appreciations was given to the Guest of Honours and VIPs.

Same rules, we can’t take pictures of the interior building. At least we can take pictures outside. Indeed, visiting the Rumah Terbalik at night portrays a different view than the one in the morning. At night, the ambience made us feel warm and welcomed. Of course, both are beautiful. Well, you just have to visit and see for yourself to find out the different environment.

Accompanied by Jazz Music, I can’t believe I met Rene, Asif, my lil brother Kevin, and Appy. Well, funny thing about Appy. We met before, but we kinda forgot. When I start a conversation with him by saying “I think we met before” and he said “You look familiar”. Then it goes...

“Have you sang in Shamrock before”
“Yes...”
“Have you sang with a girl before there?”
“Yeaaa...”
“Did you sing Quando Quando Quando with that girl before?”
“YES!”
“I think that’s me.”
And memories came back, we burst out laughing. Nice to meet you again Appy!

I ended up talking with lots of people and I am glad to know a few new friends too! Anyway, I get a chance to get away from work, having some drinks while enjoying the jazz music. Bliss! Great night and thanks to the organizers who invited us!

Welcoming the New Year 2012

It took me five minutes to think what should I blog about...
Well, I know that lately I have been busy and didn’t update my blog. So I have decided to tell you what had happened during my New Year eve. Yes, I know I am way back behind but it’s a good memory to share J

Anyway, this is how we celebrate.

Daddy came out with this crazy idea that all daughter should come up with a dish. Either you make it or you buy it, its okay. Daddy just wanted to find out do we have his gift. So each daughter really thought about one or two recipes. Let’s see one by one...

Eldest sister bought Lasagna from Little Italy because it’s mom’s favourite dish.
Second sister made an ice cream cake.
Third sister made mash potato.
And I did something healthy and light which was pasta and some appetizer made from tomato with some herbs and cheese.
Oh, of course, mom did lamb chop.

Other than us, we have our family friends to join us that night. So we have pizza as well as chicken wings.

Well, that’s about it. Lovely night! It is an extraordinary sharing moment at home and we countdown peacefully. Of course, we end up with wine and liquor just to have a little celebration feeeeeel.

Please let me know how did you celebrate your New Year because I know I am... 'gone' for sometime. Haha!

An advise from a wise man.

Last two week, I met this wise man and he advised me after knowing I have tons of works on hand.

Well, sometimes I just don’t want others to know who the author is in a certain sites or who is the person in charge in an organization, who is the person who is helping who... I could say, it is my interest to touch different subjects and wonderful moments in my life.

The person that I met last two weeks is actually a wise employer of a company. He asked me, “Why do you need so many accounts when you need to ‘sell’ yourself?” Well, the meaning of selling myself is not in a bad way but it’s in a good way, which currently I am actually the Sabah Young Tourism Ambassador (if some of you know) and why do I have to cover myself and not letting the current readers of mine in my travel blog, to know I am the person who writes about the local destinations here in Sabah, Land Below the Wind.

What he said was true. I love to travel and write about places that I have been to. I even love to write about the events that I have attended or joined. I love basically everything and I believe sharing my words thru love is the most wonderful thing in our life.

Here, is the confession.
Sunnieson the Road, is my travel blog.
MyVoices for Changes is another blog of mine, which I write about how I feel of the current situation in our country that related to environment and charity.

After my conversation with him, I decided to leave both Sunnies on the Road and MyVoices for Changes. Of course, I will continue blog about what I blogged in both blogs. But, it will be in this blog, Faith. Hope. Love. Care [Chloe].

I hope all of you will support me for my write ups and now I am building my FacebookPage as a journalist for my blogs. Please support by clicking like and share to your friends.

Love and support,
Chloe Tiffany Lee

Interview Session with Greyson Chance in Kota Kinabalu

Have you ever thought of meeting a singer where you can look at his expression, talk to you, hug you, shack your hand, and so on... right in front of you?

For US singer, he’s the first that I talked to him side by side.

As a Breeze Magazine team member, I was given a chance to attend the interview session in Kota Kinabalu on 17th November 2011, at AMP Studio where Hitz.fm, Era.fm, and My.fm are all there. Noor, the editor for Breeze Magazine was there was well. All of us in the interview room were like thinking what to ask and say. Everyone there are nice and funny, especially when most of them thinking where should Greyson be sitting.
.
Anyway, Greyson Chance is a nice boy. He has a great sense of humour as well where all interviewers asked “Have you tried Malaysian food?” and he said that he tried the Durian and also Bambangan. I myself never dared to try Bambangan. So, I salute him for that but I love durian. Yums.
.
When we were talking about trying the foods again, he said “I would call my lawyer”. Then everyone in the interview room laughs! All of us had fun. The interview session is very casual and it’s like friends talk.

Greyson Chance Live In Kota Kinabalu is brought to you by Tune Talk with official radio station Hitz.Fm and official venue 1Borneo Hypermall. Organized by Universal Music.

Well, not gonna say much now. Gonna edit Greyson Chance’s video during his live shows! Stay tune. Follow me in Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and of course here in this blog for more future events and so on!

By the way, Greyson loves Noor's Eskimo Joe's T-shirt!

Have a look at the videos that I took during the interview for

Interviewed the Pesawat band

It’s Saturday that day and has agreed to do behind the scenes photo shots for Breeze Magazine at 3pm.

We head to the Tanjung Aru Beach in Kota Kinabalu and everything was so wonderful. The beach, the sun, the sea, the place, and of course, the people.

Beverly and I was chilling out at Aru Ba (a new place at Tanjung Aru) while waiting for Pesawat band finish up their jamming session. Everything was fine, the band are awesome too. You should check them out.

For almost 3 hours we hang out at the beach. From doing the interview session, to having fun at the beach jumping and posing all the way. It’s really funny I could say.

Well, not gonna say more. I just have to say, I love my job.

Chloe is back AGAIN!

Hello to my friends and family!
What a nice day to blog when it is a rainy day out there. Cooling and chilling.

Now here’s the main point. I’m back to blogger again to share each and everything that happened in past few months and also what is going to be happening in the future. Yea, I know it’s been months (again) that I stopped blogging because of my studies. Well, need to focus in that right? Then the blog world will rock like before!

Anyways, I have completed my Degree in Leisure and Tourism Management. Oh yea!
No more studies, but hello to working life soon.

I’m gonna take two months off.
It’s because I don’t think it is good for me to take leave for my coming China vacation in October.
So, working life will be starting in November.
Hire me please! Haha. Kidding.

So, here we go again! Blogging time! Stay tune!

On my birthday

Aldrich come and sees me today but not on the 5th when he just came back from Sarawak. Well, I’m quite disappointed in him because I thought that he’s going to give me a surprise yesterday. Everything that I do, I wish he will surprise me from my back. Well, the first, I thought he’s going to Fratini’s Restaurant and surprise me, but not. Second, I thought that he’s going to my house and surprise me late at night, but nope. So, I’m quite disappointed because all I thought was just… a thought.

So, today I just forget about what happened last night and just be normal. Nor angry, nor disappointed and just be cool with him. Then, he told me that he’s going to find me at night and celebrate with me and I say ok and I’ll be in Karamunsing Complex because I’ll be having dinner there with my family. So, during the dinner, Aldrich SMS-ed me and said, ‘Baby, wait me. I’m coming in a while’.

For me, all I thought was he is coming from house now, in his car, with my smiley face coming to fetch me. Then, after dinner I told mom that I will wait for him here in Karamunsing since he said he’s coming. So, my family went home and I wait and wait, wait until I can’t stand it anymore because it’s quite dangerous to wait alone in that building and I’m not familiar with that. Then, I called his brothers and both of them did not pick up the phone and I get on my nerves. First, Alston picked the phone and tell me that he don’t know what’s going on he Aldrich. He doesn’t know whether Aldrich is gone out or not.

Suddenly, Adrian sms me and said ‘I’m sorry’.
So, I guess it’s because he didn’t pick my phone up and I call him back, he picked.
Then, I asked Adrian, ‘Where is your big brother?’
You know what he said?

Adrian is Green, I'm Pink

‘He’s having his dinner’
‘So, means he’s still at home?’
  'Yea. Why?’
‘He told me that he’s coming to fetch me right now and I thought he left from home’
‘Har… You wait la’
‘I waited for so long and he sitting at home still? I’m alone at Karamunsing waiting for him!’
‘Why you are alone?’
‘Fine, just ask him don’t find me. I’m disappointed in him! I go back home alone la!’
‘Wei, no no’
‘I don’t care!’

Then I close the phone immediately because I don’t know what I’m thinking that time.

Suddenly Caren sms-ed me and at least I have someone to talk to. I told her what happened and of course in female rights, I’m right. So, I wait and wait, think lots, and starts going in shops to be save (at least). Then, he called me. I didn’t pick the phone till it rang for three times. So, I asked him.

Aldrich is Blue, I'm Pink

‘What you want?’
‘Where are you?!’
'I don’t know. You wanna find me? Just park your car and come right in. Find me.’
‘What? Don’t play. Come out. I don’t know where you are.’
‘Come out and find me if you really love me.’
‘Don’t play please. Dangerous!’
‘Well, you know dangerous? Means that I wait for you alone until now that is NOT dangerous?’
‘I’m sorry ok. And why are you alone!?’
‘So you think that I’m gonna ask my family to accompany me until you come?’
‘Where are you!?’
‘Don’t ask me where am I. If you really want, come in!’
‘I can’t go because I can’t park here for long.’
‘Oh come on. Am I that unimportant to you!?’
‘Please baby, please. Come out.’

So I close the phone and go out and shout at him in the car.

Yes, I know I can’t be too cruel to him. My friends always say that I’m too soft hearted. I admit. I told him how I felt. Tell him that it’s not right to put me aside and wait alone in somewhere. Some more, says that he is coming. What is that? Coming but still at home?! Gosh. He holds my hand and keeps on talk to me but still I refuse. Until going out from the car to the lift in Centre Point, I still refuse to talk to him. He just holds my hand. He keeps on thinking how to convince me. Okay, he can’t make it but I’m the one who turns okay. I told him that ‘I am still angry’. He said ‘I know’.

Then, he brings me for Japanese food. It’s located in Palm Square (4th Floor) Centre Point. I point to the section in the menu, but Aldrich thought I wanted that dish. God, how can this be? But, he tried to change with the waitress but they started to make the ingredients. So nope, can’t change the order. Never mind, I just don’t eat that bowl of rice with Tempuras and other fried vegetables. I eat the soba but only half I ate. It is 2 in 1 actually and cost about RM20. I like the Shasimi, not the Tempuras. *sad*

After dinner I still a little angry and I said I wanted to go for movies. At least no need to listen him talk or I also no need to talk. Better right? LOL. So, we had to erm… let me think. We watched… ahh! I know, Couple Retreat. The movie is quite nice, at least it suit for both of us that time because we are having some sort of freeze situation. I don’t wanna talk to him. :P

Back home, in the car, before going down, he took a present out to me. He bought me a can drink. Then I’m soooooooo sad! Because I’m in the middle of angry still and a can drink? Omg… Really really down that time. He bought me drinks because I love to drink juices or any drinks. Then suddenly, he took another present to me! Yea yea! But it’s a chocolate. *saddddddddddddddddddddddddd* Then I thought it’s the last present. Then, suddenly, A PRETTY BOX!!! Yea yeaa.. This time really yeah! It’s like Tiffany & Co. box but of course it’s not. Then we went in home and I can’t wait to see the present! Then when I take the PRETTY BOX out again, omg!! It’s not like Tiffany & Co. de colour. It’s really greenish! But, what’s inside? I’m nervous!

He asked me to guess.

‘Okay, try me. It’s a watch!’
‘Errr… donno?’
'Yer!! It’s a…. necklace?’
‘Dono?’
‘ISH!!! I wanna open it!’
‘Okay~’ *smiling smiling there*

YES! I’m correct! It’s a watch!

Tell you guys what’s the bad thing is.
Aldrich can’t really give me surprises because I always guess it correct.
So, sometimes I’m trying to be stupid to let him succeed haha!!

My birthday Celebration

Note: Please click here to see original post. http://www.angelsbewithyou.blogspot.com/

I had a great birthday dinner with my cousin and friends tonight. So, you must read this all!
Okay, some of them have works so they can’t make it and some of them can’t come for some reasons and it’s ok.

Here’s the story.

At first, I was planning to go Upperstar at Lintas to have this dinner because it’s new and the price is reasonable! But, Kim told me that its full house when she pass the restaurant. She fetched me, we went to Damai and check the other Upperstar but its full as well. So, she recommends to go Fish & Co. or Fratini’s. I think and discuss with her then I decided to go Fratini’s Restaurant in Warisan Square because it is quiet and the foods are nice as well with unique dishes and the carte du jour will be more than Fish & Co. certainly.

Ready to eat?

Fratini’s Restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine. The pastas and pizzas are their best! So, decided to go here and for sure will spend up more than going to Upperstar but it is ok because it’s my birthday! I have saved up my money to spend this dinner so, don’t care! Eat and enjoy! For this, I paid RM 121.90. No bad right? So, Kim and I were looking at the Menu and I decided to order four courses. Among all pizzas, I chose Suprema which cost me RM32. The reason that I ordered this one is because everything is in the pizza and everyone surely loves it! Look at the picture below.

Picture Below: Suprema, RM32

So, what do you think about the Suprema? Gosh, it is huge and full of ingredients and enough for four of us! You may have to try this or just try other pizzas. They are lots of choices actually! My style of eating pizza? Aww. I can’t eat without Tabasco! Surely I will put Tabasco and covered the toppings!

Next, I ordered pasta, Fettuccini Carbonara. It cost RM22.50. I ordered this because, first, I asked Kimberly’s idea for that and second, I am sure that she misses the Carbonara that we worked in Le Meridien during Inti Partner Lunch. During and after having lunch in Le Meridien, I remember she keep on saying that ‘The Carbonara so delicious oh!’ Right Kim? Haha. So, this is the picture of it! Fettuccini Carbonara!

Picture Below: Fettuccini Carbonara, RM22.50

Taste of this Fettuccini Carbonara? Hmm, it was alright. Kim said she can’t see the meat. I think it is very cheesy.

After that, I ordered the Lasagne Di Carne for RM23.50. I ordered this one because mom loves Lasagna! Every time when she goes to Italian Restaurant, for sure she wants Lasagna, especially Little Italy. So, I just want to try this out and maybe could recommend mom to dine in here. No no, don’t scroll down first. Let me tell you about this Lasagna. My oh my, I love this Lasagna! Maybe I always dine in Little Italy and get boring with their Lasagna. Fratini’s Lasagna has lots of beef! I mean, MEAT! Yums yums! *buurrpp!!* I want it again. Lols. Did you see the cheese?

Picture Below: Lasagne Di Carne, RM23.50

Last order!! Seafood Soup, RM12. The waiter recommends this actually and I think it is ok to try it. So, I just ordered one and four of us share because it’s quite expensive to order one for each. It cost RM12. It is nice and tasty. The seafood is fresh!

Picture Below: Seafood Soup, RM12

Then, we had a long dinner by ending up cam whoring. Well, thanks to the big mirror that we side beside to. From sitting down on the chair until standing up on the floor, we are still cam whoring. We are the last customers and all the staffs are waiting for us to say good bye but before that, I got my presents from all of them. It’s from INTIMA actually but some of them didn’t come. So, I would like to say thank you to all of you. They got me this bag and I didn’t realize there’s a big plastic bag on the other chair because I was so focus on the foods and taking pictures of those foods and taking pictures of four of us. Yes yes! Photography is life!

Once they hand over the present to me, I am shock! The box is huge. And it’s quite heavy. As I open it, gees… I am nervous because I seldom open presents. Then, I saw there’s a sunglass with a bag as well! I love both presents. Especially the bag because it’s look like Channel (Aldrich said it’s like Gucci). At first I didn’t know there’s a golden lock and key in front of the bag and then I saw it, it’s actually mean I’m 21 already. Nice and wondering meaning.

After dinner, actually I wanted to go Atmosphere to end my birthday celebration by playing a thank you song for my friends using the grand piano but we didn’t go. It’s too far to go there. Then, we ended up going back home. On our way home, we head to 7evelen because Kim wants to buy some bread for her mom. Eric went down to buy and three ladies in the car playing with the camera again and give a sexy lips then Eric joins in later on.

Reach home, Jenette wants to use the washroom while Eric and Kim wait in the car. Then once Jenette finished, she holds her phone and waves to the outside from the window and I was thinking what’s going on? *Ahh… got something else* So, Eric and Kim walk slowly pass through the garden and sing happy birthday song to me. Eric holds the cake; Kim holds the camera to record a video of all of us. It was fun! They use donuts to be my cake and it is 2230hrs so all of us have to voice down ourselves. Haha.

Very funny! Then what else? Take pictures again! This time, my donut 'cake' HAHA!

Adios! My long post of my birthday celebration!

Picture of the day: Special thanks to my lovely cousin Jenette, and wonderful friends Kimberly and Eric! Love you all!
