EVENT: Mother’s Day Walk Abreast 2013

Once again, Kinabalu Pink Ribbon has organised another good cause - Mother’s Day Walk Abreast 2013. About 3, 000 people participated in the 5km Kinabalu Pink Ribbon (KPR) Mother’s Day Walk Abreast 2013 at Wisma Wanita.

The walkathon is an opportunity for thousands of women, men and their families, running or walking, to spread important messages about breast cancer in Kota Kinabalu and around Sabah. Participate in honor of a loved one, a friend, a co-worker, or simply to be a supporter of the meaningful event to create greater awareness for early detection and to end breast cancer forever.

And again, Noor and I participated and we had a great time together. Looking all those funky head gear, outfit, and lucky draws, they have won themselves a trip with the Star Cruise, Flat screen TV, Notebooks, Laptops, Ipad (I want it so much), and more. Indeed very interesting prizes right? Noor and I decided that we should look awesome in the coming year. So please suggest an idea for us so we can rock!

“Every step makes a difference in creating greater awareness for early detection of breast cancer,” said Lucilla, President for Kinabalu Pink Ribbon.

Your Dream House?

Years go by and so does people eh? Which is true; I have been doing quite a lot of planning these days, maybe let’s make it for months. If you followed my blog since few years back, I bet you have guessed by age! And now, guess what? I’m thinking to get my own future home. There are house for sale everywhere now in town but whether the rate has gone higher or lower? You just need to make a survey for yourself.

In fact, the IPEX property fair just ended last few weeks. There are several house forsale now at most of the prime locations. For my opinion, locations like in most of the town area will be perfect for investments especially properties facing to the South China Sea; oh what a beautiful location.

You know when it’s time for you to think for your future home. Landed properties are hard to find nowadays as most of them are owned by someone else since the previous generations. We never know if there are any left for the new generations to come. Nevertheless, KK City is blooming. Developments are everywhere and it is designed to suits our modern lifestyle.

Wanna see my dream house? Let me show you some pictures.

Espresso with Vanilla Ice Cream

As I said, I always believe the ladies will fall in love with desserts. All kinds of desserts actually.

Now, I have a little secret to tell.
Find the best coffee in Kolombong, where it is the most busy and lots of factories there in that area (Yes, I am telling the truth). Traffic jams are crazy there! But anyway, it’s worth to visit Santola Bar Café IF ONLY YOU LOVE COFFEE. Otherwise, don’t waste your time driving all the way from the town.

Santola Bar Café is operated by Kopi Cap Kuda. It is a factory and they provide coffee making classes. So, get ready your hands and mind to learn something new there.

I have ordered this when I was with my friends hanging out at the café.

Delicious or not?
Of course it is. Imagine hot espresso and look how the fluid flows from the top of the vanilla ice cream to the bottom of the tall glass. It’s espresso by the way.

Look at how it is done by visiting their Facebook page.

Mango & Durian Pancake

Different people in the world have different taste of cuisine. How about desserts? I do believe most of the ladies out there loves desserts and eventually fall in love with the ones that they have tasted (which suits their taste).

Mango Pancake from Lucy’s Kitchen is refreshing and the Durian Pancake is smooth and creamy. Well, for those who don’t really like durian (of course I won’t mention about Mango because everybody loves Mango for sure); you can try this Durian Pancake as it is less ‘smelly’. The skin of the pancake is unique. It is thin and fragile.

How to go Lucy’s Kitchen?
It is located at The 88 Market Place, Kepayan.
Here’s their number - 088-259 866 Good luck.

Personally, I love Durian and of course I will go for the Durian Pancake. What about you?
